La Center baseball toughens up with tough competition

Wildcats hope playing close games will be beneficial come postseason

The La Center baseball team hopes a little adversity now will help the Wildcats go a long way.

Last season, the Wildcats stormed into the Class 1A state playoffs having won 18 consecutive games, most by lopsided margins.

So when the Wildcats found themselves in a tight battle in a state quarterfinal against Cedar Park Christian, they fell short, losing 6-5 in eight innings.
