Joe Potter has resigned as girls basketball coach at Seton Catholic after four season, the school announced.

Potter led the Cougars to three consecutive postseason berths, consecutive Trico League titles and back-to-back berths to the Class 1A state tournament.

The Cougars went 18-6 in 2023-24, including 16 consecutive wins, before their season ended with a 40-36 loss to Eatonville in the opening round of the state tournament.

“We have been blessed to have Coach Potter as a coach, mentor, leader and pillar in our community and SC family,” Seton Catholic athletic director Phil Kent said. “We are so grateful for all of his time, energy, love and effort that he poured into this program.”

The school will begin a search for new head coach immediately.
