The Vancouver Fire Department responded to a house fire Friday night that was complicated by arcing power lines.
At 10:40 p.m., fire crews responded to 3508 X Street in the Rose Village Neighborhood. Upon arrival, they found a duplex on fire with active power lines near the roof.
After Clark Public Utilities cut power to the lines, fire crews quickly brought the blaze under control. Nobody was found inside the structure and no injuries were reported.
The Red Cross was called to assist six people who were displaced.
A total of 25 firefighters responded to the scene, including an addition engine from Fire District 6. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
