A driver suffered minor injuries Monday afternoon after crashing a pickup into an auto parts store in Battle Ground.

Battle Ground police responded to the crash shortly before 2 p.m. at O’Reilly Auto Parts, 213 W. Main St. When officers arrived, they saw a pickup had crashed into a west wall of the building, breaking through the brick exterior, according to a police news release.

Medical personnel from Clark County Fire District 3 evaluated the driver’s injuries. No one else was injured, police said.

Investigators said they do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.

City officials assessed the building’s structure and closed the business until a structural engineer can determine the extent of the damage, the news release states.

Battle Ground police are continuing to investigate.
