KALAMA – Kalama quarterback Aiden Brown compiled 340 yards of offense and had five touchdowns, leading the Chinooks to a 48-14 win over King’s Way Christian in a non-league football game on Friday night at Chinook Stadium.
The game was delayed by more than an hour to start because of the continuing officiating shortage in the region, the teams waiting for a crew to finish the call up the road at the contest between Camas and Kelso.
Once the game was kick, Kalama (2-2) took little time to assert itself, the Chinooks defense earning takeaways on the first two possessions of the game.
Brown made it count, scoring his first touchdown from 1-yard out and following with rumbling touchdown runs of 63 and 62 yards. The junior carried the ball just five times in the first half, scoring on his final four rushes. He opened the second half with an 86-yard touchdown pass to Jonny Martinez to extend the rout.
