Clark County Public Works’ Parks and Lands Division is inviting residents to celebrate the completion of an inclusive playground at Felida Community Park. A ribbon-cutting will be held at the playground at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28. Councilor Michelle Belkot will provide remarks and cut the ceremonial ribbon. Light refreshments will be provided.
The new play area features a layout and equipment that can be enjoyed by children of all ages and abilities. The playground is marked with a rainbow archway, celebrating the diversity of the community’s children, and was partially funded by donations from the community. The rainbow was inspired by the area’s children. When asked to draw a picture of what they would like to see in the new play area, many children drew rainbows.
