Clark College Choirs: Clark College is holding open auditions for its three choirs. Choral groups are open to the public. Rehearsals begin the week of Sept. 25 in Beacock Music Hall on the main campus of Clark College at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver. The Clark College Chorale rehearses 6:30-8:50 p.m. Wednesdays. The Treble Ensemble rehearses 1-2:20 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. The concert choir rehearses 11-11:50 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Auditioners should choose a song to sing and be prepared to do vocal and tonal exercises. To audition, contact Jacob Funk, director of choirs, at jfunk@clark.edu or 360-992-2245.

Journey Carolers: Journey Theater seeks singers age 10 to 18 years old to audition for the Journey Carolers seasonal singing group. Auditions are 6-8 p.m. Oct. 19 at U.S. Digital, 1400 N.E. 136th Ave., Vancouver. Singers should prepare a song (or portion of a song) with instrumental accompaniment track (on CD or downloaded MP3) to show vocal range. Songs should be about 16 bars, last 30-45 seconds and not exceed one minute. Immediately following individual auditions, singers will be asked to stay and sing with the group. Music and tracks will be emailed ahead of time. Parents should plan to drop off children with completed audition forms and backing track at 6 p.m. and pick them up at 8 p.m. If chosen, the cost to participate is $100. Rehearsals are Nov. 2, 21, 25 and 28. Carolers will perform around Clark County on 10 dates from Nov. 24-Dec. 22. Learn more and download audition forms at journeytheater.org.

And your little dog, too: Journey Theater seeks a dog to play Toto in its upcoming production of “The Wizard of Oz.” The theater company is looking for a small dog that will tolerate being carried in a basket. The dog should be up-to-date on vaccines, good with kids, crate trained, potty trained and know basic obedience commands. The dog will have a student handler during rehearsals and performances. The dog will be called to most Saturday rehearsals in October and November. Performances are Dec. 8-16. Journey Theater is accepting video submissions until Oct. 6. Fill out the form at journeytheater.org.
