Rafael and Aqeel Bauman each had long touchdown runs in the third quarter as Hudson’s Bay rushed for 373 yards in a 31-7 win over Heritage on Friday at Kiggins Bowl.
Rafael Bauman rushed for 156 yards on 13 carries, including a 75-yard touchdown run in the third quarter that put Bay up 17-7. Aqeel Bauman followed with a 70-yard touchdown run later in the quarter. He finished with 154 yards on 13 carries and three touchdowns.
Luke Melvin returned a kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown that tied the game 7-7 in the second quarter.
Hudson’s Bay (1-0) plays at King’s Way Christian next Friday, while Heritage hosts Stadium of Tacoma.
