Letter: Kent doesn’t deserve your vote

I see that Joe Kent is making another run at the House of Representatives for our area. I have also read his recent opinion piece about our continuing support for Ukraine (“U.S. position cruel, irresponsible,” The Columbian, Sept. 18). He is just another MAGA interloper into our local politics with little or no connection to our local or regional issues. I have also seen his campaign signs still in place from his previous run for Congress almost two years ago. This is in violation of campaign laws about removing them timely following elections.

Wannabe politicians like Mr. Kent are part of the problem not the solution. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is doing a good job for her constituents and deserves our continued support.

Mr. Kent needs to find something else to do. He adds no value and he does not deserve our votes.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
