Pierson Lameh of Prairie is The Columbian 2023-24 Week 5 prep football player of the week

The senior rushed for 333 yards

Pierson Lameh of Prairie is the The Columbian 2023 Week 5 high school football player of the week.

Lameh received 5,427 of the 9,741 votes cast this week to win the honor.

The senior rushed for 333 yards on 28 carries with one touchdown in a 36-33 win over Kelso.

Winners of the athlete-of-the-week may not be nominated again during the regular season, and no athlete may be nominated in consecutive weeks.

Nominees are posted and voting begins each Monday and runs through Wednesday.

Here are the accomplishments of the other Week 5 nominees:

AIDEN BROWN, KALAMA: The junior passed for 485 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 65 yards and one TD in a 36-7 win over Stevenson.

JACOB CHAMPINE, BATTLE GROUND: The senior rushed for 47 yards, caught five passes for 76 yards and one TD and added a sack and a tackle-for-loss in a 24-7 win over Mt. Tahoma.

CHRIS PARKIN, COLUMBIA RIVER: The senior rushed for 144 yards on 11 carries and three touchdowns in a 45-13 win over R.A. Long.

NOAH STROMBERG, RIDGEFIELD: The junior caught five passes for 155 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-28 win over Washougal.
