Montana State has the top rushing attack in FCS football. Camas High School grad Rush Reimer and the offensive line are a major reason for that.
The No. 3-ranked Bobcats improved to 4-1 with a 38-22 win over Portland State on Saturday. Despite injuries thinning the ranks at running back, Montana State still rushed for 313 yards.
“We’re blocking well,” Montana State coach Brent Vigan said. “We’re a little banged up at running back, that’s fair to say … but it’s next man up. … The obvious credit continues to go to those guys up front, the tight ends included in that.”
Montana State averages 324.8 rushing yards per game and a whopping 7.14 yards per carry.
Reimer, a 6-foot-5, 300-pound junior, has started every game at either offensive tackle or guard. He started all 14 games last year and also earned second-team All-Big Sky honors.
Reimer, who is majoring in finance, earned first-team all-state honors his senior year as Camas won the 2019 Class 4A state title.
Here’s how other collegiate football players from Clark County at four-year programs fared. Note: A blank entry means the player’s team had a bye week.
