Letter: Bad behavior is on display

I saw a question on a post asking, why are our kids not as respectful as they once were? Well, after watching the news, I have the answer.

On Capitol Hill, one congressman accused another of deliberately elbowing him in the kidney because he was mad at him.

In a separate incident, a former MMA fighter turned senator challenged a congressional witness to a smack down.

We have a former president calling his political opponents “vermin.”

One congressman called another a “Smurf.”

Earlier this year, two congresswomen were calling each other bad names meant to define a female dog.

And the beat goes on.

Guess where our kids are getting that bad behavior is tolerated? I say to the so called “adults” in the room: Get a grip!
