Letter: Plenty to write about

By George Gust, Vancouver
Published: November 21, 2023, 6:00am

Since The Columbian limits letters to the editor to one submission every 30 days, it’s difficult to decide which topic to explore.

Number one: Joe Kent always yelling about “draining the swamp,” yet holds major fundraisers in the swamp and the cesspool of Mar-A-Lago.

Or Number two: Speaking of Mar-A-Lago, the recent rantings of Donald Trump echoing the fascist rhetoric of 1930s Germany, could lead one to believe Mar-a-Lago, home of a wannabe dictator, is the Eagles Nest of the United States.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
