Letter: Public supports Ukraine, Israel

In Chris Matthews’ letter (“Israel not worthy of support,” Our Readers’ Views, Nov. 8), he laments that by supporting Ukraine and Israel, our senators and representatives, in particular Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, are ignoring the will of the people.

I don’t know what people Matthews is referring to, because they are certainly not ignoring my will or the will of anyone I associate with. We support our politicians’ support of democracies against aggressive autocracies and terrorist assaults.

I think democracy is working just fine.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
