Cassie Ruud has joined the staff of FISH of Vancouver as development and communications manager. She was previously a newspaper reporter and editor, marketing and events coordinator, and social media and content marketing consultant. She is a graduate of Oregon State University.

“We are delighted that Cassie is joining our professional staff and implementing a variety of projects dedicated to tackling hunger in Clark County,” said James Fitzgerald, executive director. “Her skills in digital and print communications, marketing, and community relations will strengthen our life-changing work as we serve hundreds of food insecure families and individuals every day.”

FISH of Vancouver, 906 Harney St. in downtown Vancouver, provides nutritious food for 10,000 food-insecure individuals each month and more than 1.5 million pounds of food annually. FISH (Friends in Service to Humanity) has operated for more than 50 years in Vancouver and is funded by individual, business and foundation contributions.
