The study group, which included the University of Oregon’s Damian Radcliffe, hosted five webinars with experts. All agree that the current system of local news reporting is broken. But it gives us a chance to reset the system for a digital world. We need better media policies, which would redress long-term imbalances and inequities that leave some stories under-reported.
