VANCOUVER HEIGHTS – Columbia Presbyterian Church elected the Rev. Matthew Overton of Camas as the next senior pastor and head of staff. He has served the church since 2010 as associate pastor for youth and families, stepping in as interim head of staff for the past year-and-a-half.

Overton is known for his innovative youth ministry incorporating employment and training in job and life skills. He founded The Columbia Future Forge, a mentoring and training program which encompasses Mowtown Teen Lawn Care, Utmost Athletics, and a partnership with Hayes Freedom High School. He will pass on the Forge leadership as he begins his new role.
