The Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded early Thursday morning to a call for a pedestrian hit by a vehicle in Salmon Creek.

According to a statement from the agency, a witness called to report a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle about 4 a.m. near the Interstate 205 South onramp from Northeast 134th Street near Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center.

A deputy was nearby and arrived quickly to find a seriously injured person in the roadway on 134th Street eastbound. The deputy provided care until medics arrived and transported the person to a hospital, according to the sheriff’s office. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene.
