Prep highlights: Skyview’s Ntekpere a triple winner at Tiger Relays

Skyview’s Emem Ntekpere won three events — the girls 100-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles and the high jump — to shine at the Tiger Relays track and field meet Saturday at Battle Ground High School.

The senior dominated the high jump, winning the event by five inches with a leap of 5 feet, 4 inches.

She won the 300 hurdles by almost a full second in 49.47 seconds, and won the 100 hurdles in 16.68 seconds.

Battle Ground’s Faizah Ford won two events — the long jump (16-8.25) and triple jump (34-8).

Other local winners in the girls meet included Casie Kleine of Castle Rock (400), Daphne Evenson of Skyview (800), Sydnee Boothby of Washougal (1,600), Alexis Leone of Seton Catholic (3,200), Hannah Kim (discus) and Grace-Morgan Lukens (pole vault) of Camas, Jessica Polkinghorn (Columbia-White Salmon).

Liam Rapp of Ridgefield was the lone local dual winner in the boys meet, winning the 800 (2:03.76) and the 1,600 (4:34.08).

Other local winners were Davari Grauer of La Center (200), Ethan Cabral (400) and Evan Davis (triple jump) of Prairie, Aidan Sweeney of King’s Way Christian (110 hurdles), Koynn Williamdyke (300 hurdles) and Jaxon Cook (discus) of R.A. Long, Juan Pasillas-Stanton of Mountain View (shot put), Jared Williams of Camas (javelin), Ryder Keplar (high jump) and Jonathan Landry (long jump) of Evergreen, Eli Wenger of Columbia River (pole vault).

Stars of the day

  • Dylan Osborne, Union baseball, combined on the mound with Dylan Richardson for a two-hit shutout in a 5-0 over Bainbridge at the Northwest High School Invitational at Husky Ballpark in Seattle. Osborn was also 2-for-4 with a double. In a 5-1 loss to Federal Way, Osborn was 2 for 4 with an RBI and two stolen bases.
  • Skye Noonan, Mountain View girls tennis, dropped just one game in two matches to win the top singles flight at the Mountain View Invitational.
  • Brady Davis, Gavin Poffenroth, Micah Robison, Skyview baseball, each had two hits and combined for four RBI in a 10-hit attack to beat La Center 8-1 in a non-league game.
  • Sam Soto, Seton Catholic boys soccer, scored all four goals for the Cougars in their 4-3 Trico League win over La Center.
  • Alex Harris, Columbia River boys soccer, scored a hat trick in River’s 4-0 2A Greater St. Helens League win over Mark Morris.
  • Sebastian Deisenhofer, Hockinson boys soccer, assisted on all three second half goals as the Hawks shut out Ridgefield 4-0 in a 2A GSHL match.
