Alex Haloulos Younts singled home the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth as Hudson’s Bay baseball went extra innings to beat Hockinson 3-1 on Wednesday.

Pitching ruled for most of the 2A Greater St. Helens League contest. Braeden Bellus threw a gem for Hockinson, striking out 10 and allowing four hits and one walk over eight innings.

Hudson’s Bay got a stellar pitching effort from Elias Estrada, who came on in relief in the third inning. He pitched seven shutout innings, striking out six and allowing two hits and one walk.

In the ninth, Chanz Flores and Sebastian Laddusaw singled to load the bases after Cameron Nicklas led off with a walk. Laddusaw, who went 3 for 4, added an insurance run by scoring on Caleb Toivonen’s sacrifice fly.
