Peyton Sanders singled home Ethan Valtierra with two outs in the top of the seventh to put the Tigers ahead, then Trevin Long sealed the win with 1-2-3 bottom of the seventh as the Battle Ground baseball team opened its season with a 5-4 win at Rogers-Puyallup on Saturday.
Long pitched two hitless innings of relief to pick up the win. Sanders finished 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and Jack Hotchkiss was 2 for 4 with an RBI for the Tigers.
