BATTLE GROUND — Battle Ground Public Schools has opened kindergarten enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year. Any child who will be 5 years old by Aug. 31 is eligible to enroll.

Parents and guardians will need to provide a birth certificate and completed Washington certificate of immunization status to apply. Families can figure out what school their child is zoned to attend via the Clark County Property Information Center at https://gis.clark.wa.gov/gishome/property/index.cfm?.

To learn more about how to apply for kindergarten enrollment, visit the district’s website at https://www.battlegroundps.org/kindergarten-enrollment/.

Battle Ground encourages families to apply as soon as possible so that their children are able to participate in summer orientation programs such as JumpStart, a four-day program Aug. 14-17 designed to help get young students acclimated to school routines.

The district also offers transitional kindergarten for no cost for children who will be 4 years old by Aug. 31. Applications for transitional kindergarten are due by June 16 and can be found on the district’s website at https://www.battlegroundps.org/transitional-kindergarten/.
