Young filmmakers have the chance to apply their skills to promote the health and preservation of local watersheds — and could potentially win hundreds of dollars for doing so.
Stormwater Partners of Southwest Washington, a grouping of local agencies and organizations, is hosting its third annual Students for Clean Water video contest where kids are encouraged to share their connection to water and the environment.
Clark County students in grades 6-12 can submit videos related to pollution prevention, stewardship, local trails and water. The videos, varying between 25-55 seconds, must be submitted by April 24.
The contest has five categories: community storytelling, Black, Indigenous, and people of color filmmaker, people’s choice and “Where does stormwater go?” which has a long and short video classification.
