Kobe Parlin led a balanced scoring attack with 21 points as the Mark Morris boys basketball team advanced to the Class 2A state semifinals with a 60-51 win over Tumwater on Thursday at the Yakima SunDome.
Mark Morris (23-2) will face No. 1 seed Pullman at 3:45 p.m. Friday in the semifinals.
After jumping out to a 19-6 lead after one quarter, the Monarchs went cold in the second quarter, taking a 23-20 lead into halftime.
But Mark Morris shot better from the field in the second half (10 of 20) and pulled away with a 26-point fourth quarter.
Braydon Olson added 14 points and nine rebounds for the Monarch. Malakai Gray added 12 points, and Deacon Dietz added 11 points and nine rebounds.
