The city of Battle Ground is accepting applications for a vacant position on the city planning commission. The current term for the position ends Dec. 31, 2024, with potential reappointment for a four-year term.
Applicants must reside within the city. The commission is a seven-member volunteer board charged with advising the city council on all land use matters referred to them by the city council, including comprehensive planning, capital facility planning, transportation planning and development codes.
The commission typically meets at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays as needed, usually once or twice a month.
