A man was wounded and taken to a hospital and two teens were arrested Sunday night after a fight in the parking lot of the Clark County Family YMCA erupted in gunfire.

Vancouver police responded at about 9:20 p.m. to the 11300 block of Northeast 51st Circle for reports of a disturbance. A large group was fighting in the parking lot, and witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots, according to a police news release. It does not appear the Y was open at the time.

A 21-year-old man was shot, and someone drove him to a hospital as officers arrived. His wounds appeared to be not life-threatening, police said.

Arriving officers found a 16-year-old boy with a gun, but they determined it was not the gun used in the shooting. Police arrested the boy and booked him into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center on suspicion of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, according to the news release.

Investigators determined a 17-year-old boy was responsible for the shooting. They found him in the 4900 block of Northeast Plomondon Street. With the help of SWAT, he was arrested without incident, Vancouver police said. He was booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center on suspicion of first-degree assault.

Vancouver police are continuing to investigate.
