A Brush Prairie woman was taken to a Portland hospital after crashing into a light pole and tree Thursday morning in Brush Prairie.

Amanda K. Lersch, 28, was driving her Ford Focus at about 1 a.m. north on state Highway 503 at Northeast 119th Street. Her car left the roadway and went onto the sidewalk before striking a light pole. The car then spun and hit a tree, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Lersch was taken to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center for her injuries, the State Patrol said.

The crash memo indicates the cause of the crash was speed and that Lersch was not wearing a seat belt. The report states investigators do not know if drugs or alcohol were involved.
