Clark County Public Works’ Parks and Lands division will host an open house about the future Minnehaha Neighborhood Park from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 9 in the cafeteria/commons of Minnehaha Elementary School, 2800 N.E. 54th St.
Parks and Lands is creating a master plan for the future park on Northeast 17th Avenue, north of Northeast Minnehaha Street, and is seeking the neighborhood’s input. The master plan outlines the types of features and amenities included in a park, the park’s layout and more.
Participants can join in person or online. The open house will include light refreshments and a presentation from 6:30-7 p.m. about proposed park elements. Before and after the presentation, in person attendees are invited to view display boards showing proposed park elements, share feedback with staff and provide input about the future park.
An online survey will be available on the project webpage at clark.wa.gov/public-works/minnehaha-neighborhood-park through Aug. 30 for all residents, including those unable to attend the open house. To participate online via Webex, register on the project webpage. An email reminder with the link to join the meeting will be sent to those who register. Registration is not required.
A recording of the presentation portion of the meeting, presentation slides and handouts will be posted to the project webpage within three business days of the open house.
