Lucia Falls Bridge will be closed from Aug. 7-26 while crews work to strengthen the bridge and ultimately remove its existing weight restriction. The closure’s start and end dates are weather dependent and subject to change.

Additionally, Northeast 279th Street will be closed to through traffic east from Northeast 182nd Avenue. Traffic will be redirected around the bridge via Northeast 172nd Avenue and Northeast Lucia Falls Road.

The work is part of a larger project to increase the load carrying capacity of nine county bridges that are weight restricted and can prevent some emergency vehicles from crossing.

Additional project details, including detour maps, can be found at clark.wa.gov/public-works/bridge-strengthening-projects.
