FAIRWAY/164th — The 15th annual Touchmark at Fairway Village Car and Music Festival set a Father’s Day Weekend record. More than $12,000 was raised for the Alzheimer’s Association and Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon, and donations are still being received.
Thousands of people enjoyed a sunny afternoon and evening admiring nearly 100 classic cars and the show’s first-ever heavy truck — a 1948 Kenworth, complete with Bend Portland Truck Service logo — while enjoying six bands and a full barbecue.
Touchmark Life Enrichment/Wellness Director Michelle Avdienko has participated in the annual show for many years and has coordinated the last three. She says this one was extra special.
“Everything was perfect! The weather was ideal, and everyone had a terrific time oohing and aahing over the cars and talking with the owners while listening to the music. We are thrilled this year’s show raised the most donations ever and thank everyone for contributing to these two organizations that help countless families each day.”
