A driver was injured after a four-vehicle crash involving a garbage truck Tuesday morning in the Five Corners area.
Clark County sheriff’s deputies responded at 6:25 a.m. to Northeast Padden Parkway just west of 94th Avenue.
A Ford F-150 pickup and a GMC work truck were parked on the shoulder of the road in the 8700 block of Padden Parkway. A flagging crew was outside the Ford and beginning to set up cones for construction in the area. A driver was inside the GMC truck, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
Just east of the parked vehicles, a Waste Connections garbage truck was traveling west. The driver of the garbage truck said he saw someone from the flagging crew in the road, and he began to change lanes to avoid them. The driver said he did not see a Dodge Dart next to him, and the truck struck the Dodge, the sheriff’s office said.
