PeaceHealth has appointed experienced health care leader DeLeesa Meashintubby to its system board of directors.
Meashintubby serves as executive director of Volunteers In Medicine of Lane County, Ore., which provides medical services to low-income, underserved individuals. A trusted partner and adviser, Meashintubby has served on the PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center Community Health Board since 2016 and serves as a steering committee member for PeaceHealth’s Strides for Social Justice program.
Meashintubby was named 2022 First Citizen by the Eugene Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Oregon Medical Group Management Association and serves on the 100 Percent Health Executive Committee and the Lane Community College Health Information Technology Advisory Committee. In addition to these professional commitments, she serves on numerous boards including Bushnell University and the Eugene Chamber of Commerce. She is also the pastor of St. Mark Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, the oldest African American church in Eugene.
Meashintubby holds a bachelor’s degree in health care administration, a certification as a medical assistant, phlebotomist, and is a certified hearing technician through the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation.
