Clark County COVID-19 activity up, new hospitalizations down

Two deaths reported in latest data from Clark County Public Health

Clark County’s COVID-19 activity rate rose, but it’s rate of new hospitalizations fell in the latest data from Clark County Public Health. Two new deaths were reported.

Public Health reported 51 new cases this week, pushing the total to 114,117 cases to date and raising the seven-day rate of new cases to 12.2 per 100,000 people, up from 11.6 the previous week.

The two new deaths lifted the total deaths from COVID-19 to 1,056 to date.

The seven-day rate of new hospital admissions fell to 1.2 per 100,000 this week, down from 1.6 the previous week, according to Public Health data.

Public Health reported 40 hospital beds were occupied by people with or suspected of having COVID-19. Those patients accounted for 9.4 percent of all hospital beds and 8.7 percent of ICU beds.
