A man died in a fight Friday night at the Sunnyside Motel in Salmon Creek. A suspect was arrested.
Clark County Sheriff’s Deputies responded shortly after 9 p.m. on Friday after a 911 caller reported a disturbance in a room. Deputies located two males in a motel room who appeared to have been in a physical altercation.
One male was detained by deputies. One man showed many external injuries and was unconscious. Medics rendered aid, but shortly after he was pronounced deceased.
Jonathan Smith, 40, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and booked into the Clark County Jail.
Deputies said Smith declined to speak with them.
