As Harper’s Playground edges closer to completing the reconstruction of the Chelsea Anderson Memorial Play Station at Marshall Park, the organization is $400,000 short of its $3.2 million goal.
The redesign will be Vancouver’s first inclusive playground with equipment including a wheelchair swing, an integration carousel and an elevated sand area, according to a press release.
The play space is slated to open this spring, pending full funding. To help support the redesign, Harper’s Playground is selling personalized bricks and pavers that will be placed throughout the park.
“We are thrilled with the support we have received from the community thus far, and we look forward to the final funding coming in the form of personalized bricks and pavers,” G Cody QJ Goldberg, Harper’s Playground co-founder and chief play officer, said in the press release.
