ESTHER SHORT — Assistance League Southwest Washington’s 20th Annual Sleigh Bell Benefit was held on Dec. 5 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington.
Co-emcees at the champagne luncheon were Tanisha Harris and Vancouver Mayor and Assistance League member Anne McEnerny-Ogle.
Some 270 attendees enjoyed various fundraising activities including boutique and hostess gift shopping, opportunity tickets, numerous silent auction items, a “Giving Wall,” informational speakers and more.
Assistance League Southwest Washington, a nonprofit all-volunteer organization dedicated to transforming lives and strengthening the community, raised net proceeds of about $77,000 to help fund their philanthropic programs that contribute to the success of our local children and families.
A highlight of the Benefit was when McEnerny-Ogle auctioned off two of her special homemade apple pies. She sold the 9-inch pie for $350 and a 10-inch pie for $500.
