A network of outdated sewer lines near Vancouver City Hall is set to be replaced starting Monday.
The project will begin near Grant Street, on the two blocks west of Esther Short Park, and is expected to be completed in March. A second phase will replace pipes on Sixth Street between Columbia Street and Broadway.
According to the city, some on-street parking will be temporarily eliminated throughout the project’s duration, which is expected to end in April.
“During construction, there will be temporary street closures and detours. Traffic on affected streets may be reduced to one lane. Grant Street will be entirely closed for a few days in late February or early March from West Eighth to West Sixth streets. Please watch for detour signs to help you navigate through the area,” the notice said.
