A Vancouver man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of kidnapping and domestic violence assault following a police bulletin about the disappearance of his 3-year-old son.
The Vancouver Police Department released a statement at about 10 p.m. Wednesday seeking the public’s help finding Zayne Alex Taylor.
Officers said the 3-year-old was last seen with his father, Caden Milligan, who did not have custody of him and left with the boy following a criminal investigation.
Police said at the time that anyone who located Milligan should not contact him and should call 911.
The police department said at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday the boy had been found safe, and Milligan was in custody.
The Clark County Jail Roster shows Milligan is in custody on suspicion of second-degree kidnapping and second-degree domestic violence assault. Records show he’s scheduled to appear Friday in Clark County Superior Court on the allegations.
The roster also shows Milligan has a pending Clark County District Court case, in which he’s accused of making false statements to a police officer and failing to obey a police officer. He’s scheduled to appear on those charges later Friday.
