Camas’ Madi Williams narrowly edged out teammate Hallie Kempf for all-around honors as Camas captured the team title at the Class 4A District 4 gymnastics meet Saturday at Northpointe Gymnastics.
Williams won the bars (9.350) placed second on the beam (9.15) and vault (8.950) and third on the floor exercise (9.500) to finish with an all-around total of 36.95.
Kempf took second at 36.925, after winning district titles on the beam (9.550) and floor (9.650), taking second on bars (9.275) and fifth on vault (8.450).
Union’s Carly Christ was a district champion on the vault (9.150) and placed third in the all-around (34.825).
Camas’ Cyenna McCusker was fourth in the all-around and Lainie Hendricks of Union was fifth, both with scores of 34.800.
By winning the team title, Camas’ entire team advanced to the regional meet next week in Puyallup.
