Vancouver city councilors believe Eric Holmes is doing such an exceptional job as city manager that they gave him an 8.5 percent raise, or $27,000 annually, Monday. Holmes now makes $344,000, up from $317,000.
The council’s annual review of Holmes’ performance and compensation noted that under his leadership, the city maintained momentum on climate action and major projects such as the Tower Mall Development; attracted and hired talent across all city functions, including police and fire; and implemented a strategy to address homelessness and affordable housing.
