Dez Daniel scored 21 points as Evergreen beat Mountain View 69-57 on Tuesday to remain unbeaten in the Class 3A Greater St. Helens League.
Arthur Ban added 16 points as the Plainsmen won at home to improve to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in league play.
Evergreen took control in the second quarter, outscoring Mountain View 22-12 to lead 36-28 at halftime.
Tre’von Hughes-Farmer scored 18 points to lead Mountain View (1-4, 0-2). Farmer and Daniel Dolev each hit four 3-pointers as the Thunder made 10 shots from behind the arc.
Boys basketball
PRAIRIE 72, THE DALLES (Ore.) 59 — Four players scored in double figures for a second consecutive game as the Falcons earned a non-league win at home.
Solomon Ogbeama led Prairie with 18 points. Brandan Carter added 14 points, Carson Morningstar chipped in 13 points and Cam Newsome tallied 11 points.
Prairie (4-1) finished strong in an up-tempo fourth quarter, outscoring The Dalles 28-22.
STEVENSON 77, GOLDENDALE 50 — Chris Blackledge scored a game-high 32 points in three quarters of action to lead the Bulldogs to the non-league win at Goldendale.
Blackledge scored 17 points in the third quarter alone and was 7 of 11 from beyond the 3-point arc for the game. He also had four assists.
Kacen Bach had 18 points, five rebounds and four steals all in the first half. Jordan Waymire added 12 points, six steals and six assists.
Girls basketball
COLUMBIA RIVER 49, MARK MORRIS 43 — A close game throughout, Columbia River was able to put some distance on Mark Morris with a 19-10 third quarter to go on for the 2A GSHL victory.
Emma Iniguez scored 11 of her game-high 19 points in the third quarter for the Rapids (2-2, 2-0 2A GSHL). Gracie Glavin added 12 points.
Natalie Mejia led Mark Morris (2-3, 1-2) with 12 points and seven rebounds.
RIDGEFIELD 68, R.A. LONG 18 — Junior guard Janessa Chatman scored 18 points as the Spudders stayed undefeated with a 2A GSHL road win.
Freshman guard Jalise Chatman, Janessa’s sister, added 14 points for Ridgefield (6-0, 4-0).
R.A. Long (0-4, 0-3) trailed 23-5 after the first quarter.
WOODLAND 59, FORT VANCOUVER 17 — Kennedy Bockert scored 13 points to go with six rebounds and six steals, and Addi Stading also had 13 points to help lead Woodland (3-1, 1-1) to the 2A GSHL victory.
Lainey Haden had nine steals to go with five points, and Coco MacDonald had a team-high nine rebounds.
