Federal officials say new form will expand eligibility, be easier to fill out

Thousands of students at Washington State University and Clark College depend on federal financial aid. This year, the Department of Education is making several changes to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid — better known as the FAFSA.

According to the federal education department, applications for aid in the 2024-2025 school year will open “on or before” Dec.
