Letter: Feel sorry for the children

The Biden administration has refused to provide the public with information on the arms it is providing to Israel. Despite this, The Wall Street Journal has published details about the White House’s secretive arms transfers to that apartheid nation since Oct. 7.

In our name, the U.S. has provided Israel with 57,000 artillery shells (including cluster munitions) and 15,000 bombs, including over 5,000 with 2,000-pound warheads. This is one-third the explosive power of the Hiroshima atom bomb.

This monstrous destructive force, killing at rates not seen since perhaps World War II, has already murdered (the real name for “collateral damage”) more than 6,000 Palestinian children. Try to imagine this force being released on your own children during the commercial breaks of the sporting events and reality TV that substitute for real life in America.

These atrocities are being committed thousands of miles from our tranquil shores, by people who, like us, stole the land they inhabit from its owners, then branded those owners terrorists for not rolling over and disappearing. Keep this in mind as Joe Biden, his lips red with the blood of the innocent, proclaims the coming of the Prince of Peace this Christmas.
