Girls basketball: Alana Stephens leads Hudson’s Bay to 81-32 win over Hockinson

Columbia River, Mountain Vie, Ridgefield and Woodland also get wins

Led by Alana Stephens’ 27-point outing, five Eagles players reached double figures as Hudson’s Bay posted a dominant 81-32 win over Hockinson in a 2A Greater St. Helens League girls basketball game on Friday.

Bay jumped out to a 15-point lead after one quarter, then scored 27 points in the second to take a commanding 49-16 lead into the break. Bay’s Avi Desjarlais scored 14 points, Olivia Carroll and Miranda Gonzalez each added 13 points and Promise Bond chipped in 12 points.

Dannika Grant led Hockinson with 14 points.

COLUMBIA RIVER 60, FORT VANCOUVER 24 — Marley Myers scored 28 points and Gracie Glavin added 19 to lead the Rapids to a 2A GSHL win.

April Cruz scored 12 points to lead Fort.

RIDGEFIELD 53, MARK MORRIS 30 — Janessa Chatman scored 16 points and Jalise Chatman added 12 points as the Spudders rolled past Mark Morris 53-30 in a 2A Greater St. Helens League game in Longview on Friday.

The Spudders jumped out to a 21-6 lead after one quarter and never let the Monarchs in the game.

Savannah Chanda added 11 points for Ridgefield. Natalie Mejia led Mark Morris with 10 points.

WASHOUGAL 67, R.A. LONG 24 — Bella Albaugh scored 22, Ireland Albaugh had 11 points and Lucy Albaugh added 10 points to lead the Panthers.

MOUNTAIN VIEW 76, BATTLE GROUND 26 — Nina Peterson scored 20 points to lead four Thunder in double figures as the Mountain View jumped out to a 28-4 lead after one quarter.

Camaria Brown scored 16, Kendal Skimore had 13 and Mylee Thompson added 12 for the Thunder.

WOODLAND 60, LA CENTER 13 — Addi Stading scored 15 points and four steals, and Madison Walker added 10 as the Beavers rolled to a non-league win.

The Beavers also got contributions from Addi Christensen (eight points), Lainey Haden (eight points, four rebounds), Kennedy Bockert (seven points, eight rebounds, six blocks) and Jenna Starr (four points, six rebounds).

EVERGREEN 50, HERITAGE 46 — Christina Nguyen scored 19 points and Adrian Wright added 14 to lead Evergreen to a 3A GSHL win. Jaila Ellis led Heritage with 18 points.

KELSO 59, PRAIRIE 46 — Bregan Ruhland scored 21 points as Kelso took control with a 25-6 edge in the second quarter. Claire Smith scored 15 to lead Prairie.
