Letter: Follow 10 Commandments

By Carrie Ross, VANCOUVER

I wholeheartedly agree with Bob Mattila (“Becoming ungodly causes problems,” Our Readers’ Views, Nov. 24), and many others do, too, I would think. If only everyone in this nation simply followed the 10 Commandments all problems would be solved. Take the one true God of Abraham and Isaac out of public places and you have the society we live in today.
I remember a time when prayer was in schools. No one sued. No one protested. School shootings were rare if they happened at all. Follow the timeline and you can see where this nation started failing. When families started falling apart. If one would read one’s Bible simply as a history book, one would actually learn something and perhaps these nonsensical “free Palestine” riots would end.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
