The Port of Vancouver plans to grant $10,000 from its community fund to selected projects that focus on economic development, workforce training and tourism. It will accept applications until 5 p.m. Jan. 22, 2024.
Last year, the port gave Vancouver Farmers Market $2,500 to continue its Market Assistance Program. The WHY Community sporting events organization received $2,500 to provide free race registrations for kids, veterans, cancer survivors and other at-risk groups. And Hudson’s Bay High School got $5,000 for its Construction Trades Program.
