Brooklynn Haywood scored 36 points, including the final seven points of the game, to rally the Union girls basketball team to a 55-52 win over Mountain View on Friday.
Mountain View knocked down 12 3-pointers in the game as the Thunder led 52-48 with 3:30 to play. Then Haywood made a basket, then completed a three-point play to put Union ahead 53-52. She sealed the game wit two free throws.
Only two players scored in the fourth quarter — Mylee Thompson of Mountain View (five points) and Haywood (nine points).
Haywood hit five 3-pointers in the game and went 9 for 10 from the free throw line.
Thompson and Nina Peterson led the Thunder with 14 points each.
CAMAS 74, LEWIS & CLARK 40 — Reagan Jamison had 15 points and seven steals and Addison Harris added 15 points as the Papermakers opened with a big win in Spokane.
Keirra Thompson added nine points and 10 assists for Camas, which jumped out to a 34-13 lead after the first quarter.
SKYVIEW 52, COLUMBIA RIVER 39 — Kiera Parks scored nine of her game-high 21 points in the fourth quarter as the Storm pulled away.
The game was close through the third quarter as Skyview took a 32-27 lead into the fourth quarter. Cameron Watson added 10 points.
Gracie Glavin hit five 3-pointers and scored 17 points to lead River. Marley Myers added 16.
TUMWATER 72, WASHOUGAL 66, OT — Bella Allbaugh score 38 points, but the Panthers ran out of gas in the overtime period as Tumwater outscored Washougal 8-2. Jenna Klopman added 11 for Washougal.
EVERGREEN 78, BATTLE GROUND 29 — Kimora Ross scored 32 points to lead Evergreen. Ella Horst led Battle Ground with 10.
HUDSON’S BAY 55, PRAIRIE 49 — The Eagles pulled away with a strong third quarter to get the win at Prairie.
Bay’s Alana Stephens led all scorers with 23 points, and Miranda Gonzalez had 15 points.
Prairie was led in scoring by Claire Smith’s 17 and Emma Smith’s 15 points.
MARK MORRIS 60, KELSO 55 — Reese Johnston scored 22 points and Natalie Mejia added 19 as Mark Morris held on for a non-league win at Kelso.
Mark Morris led 45-37 after three quarters, but the Monarchs didn’t seal the win until Kea Makaiwi hit two free throws with eight seconds left to seal the win.
Raelie Guizzotti added 11 rebounds for Mark Morris.
Bregan Ruhland led Kelso with 16 points, and Kenzie Milligan added 15.
WOODLAND 58, KALAMA 34 — The Beavers held Kalama to single-digit scoring in the first three quarters to pick up the victory.
Addi Stading scored 15 points, and Kennedy Bockert 14 for the Beavers. Bockert also had 10 rebounds.
Kalama’s Aubrey Doerty led all scorers with 21 points.
SETON CATHOLIC 66, HERITAGE 29 — Kasey Clifton hit five 3-pointers and scored 17 points to lead Seton Catholic, which outscored Heritage 32-7 in the second half.
Madison Lee added 14 points and Riley Seymer had 12 points for the Cougars.
Braidee Goodwin had nine points for Heritage.
ADNA 57, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN 17 — Bridget Quinn scored 11 points in the Knights’ loss at Adna.
