Love Street Playhouse holds auditions for ‘Seeking Mr. Hyde’

Love Street Playhouse, 126 Loves Ave., Woodland, will hold auditions 6:30-9:30 p.m. Sept. 6 for “Seeking Mr. Hyde,” showing Nov. 3-19.

“Seeking Mr. Hyde” is an original play making its debut at Love Street Playhouse. It dramatizes the story of how Robert Louis Stevenson created his classic novel, “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.” The play is a fictionalized story based on historical facts of the novel’s creation. Auditions will feature cold readings from the script. No monologues are required and no appointments are necessary. Actors should arrive a few minutes early to fill out forms. Actors should bring head shots and a calendar. Theater resumes are optional. Auditioners should plan on remaining at the theater for the full two hours. The play offers roles for eight actors. Some will play only one character and others may play two or three roles. Character descriptions and a portion of the script is posted at lovestreetplayhouse.com/auditions.
