Clark County crews to begin work on Rock Creek Bridge

County crews will begin work on Rock Creek Bridge northeast of Battle Ground beginning Aug. 28. The work will close Northeast 152nd Avenue to through traffic. Northeast 279th Street will also be closed to through traffic from Northeast 182nd Avenue.

The closures will allow work to strengthen the bridge and remove the existing 34-ton weight restriction.

The bridge work and closure is expected to last no more than 20 working days or through Sept. 17. Exact start and end dates are weather dependent and subject to change.

Traffic will be directed, via signs and flaggers, to a detour route. For the safety of all, always follow the directions of signs and flaggers. A map of the detour can be found on the project webpage.

The repair of Rock Creek Bridge is part of a larger project to strengthen nine bridges throughout Clark County to remove existing weight restrictions. Project details, including detour maps and closure updates, can be found at clark.wa.gov/public-works/bridge-strengthening-projects.
