Camas Plein Air Festival seeks artists

Artists are invited to participate in the downtown Camas Plein Air Festival from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 1. To participate, fill out an application form (available at Camas Gallery, 302 N.E. Sixth Ave., Camas, and Pike Art Gallery, on the corner of Sixth Avenue and Birch Street in downtown Camas) with a $10 entry fee. Forms and fees must be dropped off at Camas Gallery by Aug. 29. Artists must start painting in downtown Camas by 9 a.m. Sept. 1 and finish by 4 p.m. Artists must provide their own supplies and materials. At 4 p.m., completed art will be moved to the sidewalk in front of Camas Gallery, where it will be on display and for sale until 8 p.m. All art will be priced at $200. Art sales will be conducted through Camas Gallery, with the sale price split evenly between the gallery and the artist. Artists will receive proceeds from sold works within 30 days.
